DAF Communication Templates Overview

DAF Communication Templates are ready-to-send email templates designed to help DAF administrators onboard fund holders to WellFunded.

These templates are intended to be copied, customized, and sent directly to your fund holders as part of your onboarding and activation process. They help explain the value of WellFunded, guide fund holders through account creation, and reduce common questions during rollout.

The templates are grouped by onboarding stage and follow a consistent structure to support fund holders at each step.

Before You Begin

Before sending any template, be sure to update the required placeholders so the emails reflect your organization and links correctly.

Each template includes bracketed placeholders that must be customized:

  • [Fund Holder First Name]
    Merge tag from your CRM or fund holder database

  • [DAF Name]
    Your organization’s name as it should appear to fund holders

  • [Insert Landing Page URL]
    Your co-branded WellFunded landing page

  • [Insert WellFunded Login URL]
    Direct login link (used in post-activation emails)

  • [Your Name] and [Your Title]
    The administrator or relationship manager sending the email

How the Templates Are Structured

The communication templates are organized into two phases, based on whether a fund holder has activated their WellFunded account.

Initial Onboarding Emails

These emails are sent before a fund holder creates an account.

  • Email 1: Sent to all fund holders immediately upon onboarding

  • Email 2: Sent only to fund holders who have not created an account (7-10 days after Email 1)

  • Email 3: Sent only to fund holders who still have not created an account (10-20 days after Email 2)

Post-Activation Emails

These emails are sent after a fund holder has activated their account.

  • Email 1: Sent 5-7 days after account creation

  • Email 2: Sent 10-15 days after account creation

  • Email 3: Sent 20-25 days after account creation

Messaging Guidelines

All templates follow the same core principles:

  • Every email includes a P.S. directing fund holders to your landing page and the WellFunded support email

    • This reduces inbound questions and gives fund holders a clear place to get help

  • The landing page should include:

    • FAQs

    • Short instructional videos

    • A calendar booking link (if applicable)

  • The tone is encouraging and benefit-focused rather than feature-heavy

  • The “Why This Partnership” section explains the strategic value of WellFunded and reinforces trust
